DescriptionThe thermomineral wells under Marlin, reputed to be the deepest in the world, expel more than 380,000 gallons of 147-degree-Fahrenheit water daily. The water is used in geothermal heating projects. The chamber of commerce and the Falls Community Memorial Hospital are heated by geothermal energy.
Agribusiness, primarily cattle and grain production, maintains Marlin's economy. When not at work, residents enjoy sports and recreation at Falls on the Brazos Park on the Brazos River.
