DescriptionSurrounded by the Huron-Manistee National Forests and with the Au Sable River nearby, Mio is a popular departure point and equipment rental center for fishing and canoeing expeditions. In spring the rare Kirtland's warbler nests in protected areas south of Mio near Mack Lake.
