DescriptionSaratoga, named for Saratoga Springs, N.Y., is a supply center and access point for recreation on the North Platte River and in Medicine Bow National Forest. The 64 miles of the North Platte River between the Colorado border and Saratoga are a nationally designated blue-ribbon trout fishery and include a stretch of white water rated as high as 10 on the U.S. Forest Service scale.
Saratoga Hot Springs offers a natural hot springs pool open free to the public. Fishing areas are available on the Platte and golf facilities are nearby.
