Description
At City Hall a sculptured screen titled “City of Lead and Zinc” illustrates how Trail's mineral and industrial strength steadily developed since the discovery of gold and copper in the area about 1890. Hydroelectric dams along the Kootenay River power extensive mining and smelting operations, dominated by Teck Cominco Ltd. Enjoy free concerts at Gyro Park, 1090 Charles Lakes Dr., on Thursday evenings in July and August.
