Established in 1792, the streets of Versailles (ver-SALES) are lined with shady trees and Victorian-style homes and buildings. The city is the county seat of Woodford County, which is known for its horse farms.
The Bluegrass Scenic Railroad & Museum, 2 miles west on US 62 in Woodford County Park, offers weekend train rides through the rolling Bluegrass Region on the old Louisville Southern Mainline.
