Museo Fuerte Conde de Mirasol

Museo Fuerte Conde de Mirasol is in the Barriada Fuerte sector of Isabel Segunda. Built 1845-1855 by order of the governor of Puerto Rico, the fort was one of the last Spanish military structures to be erected in the New World. The restored fort displays local artwork and exhibits about the island's archeology, slavery, sugar production, colonial influences and military presence.
