AAA Editor Notes
Brooks Aqueduct is 2 km (1 mi.) s.e. of Hwy. 1 exit Cassils Rd. (Hwy. 542), then 3 km (2 mi.) s. on a gravel road, following signs. Hailed as an engineering marvel when it was built in the early 1900s, the concrete aqueduct carried water to farmers and ranchers who settled in the region following the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Operational until 1979, it has been preserved as a monument to the engineers and agriculturalists who developed the region. Signage and brochures offer information for self-guiding tours.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
