Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge, 7 mi. n. on US 431, then 2 mi. e. to 367 SR 165, is an 11,184-acre refuge on the Chattahoochee River that provides a feeding and resting habitat for migratory waterfowl. It houses more than 280 species of birds, including ducks, geese, egrets and herons, as well as such woodland mammals as beavers, foxes, deer and bobcats. The refuge has nature displays in the administrative office, a nature trail and two observation towers.
