Pros: I loved the king size bed, it was so comfortable. The design and décor of the room was beautiful. No smoking meant no smoking, which was great! The thermostat on the wall made customizing the room temperature convenient. The swivel TV was nice but we loved the HBO channel option! The breakfast was great, lots of options! Hampton Inn also had really great breakfast hours, recognizing that not all people wake up before 8am.
Cons: When I was walking out of the elevator, one of the cleaning ladies went into the elevator before I was able to get out. The other cleaning lady apologized to me, but the cleaning lady that walked in did not. When I checked out I had to wait to give back my keys. They said, you are all set... but never asked me how my stay was. I would have said great, but I didn't have the opportunity. The shower curtain had some hairs on it from the previous customer which was slightly off putting.

Pros:
Cons: Air conditioning not cool enough and not adjustable - blamed on new 'energy efficient' system that turns off when no movement detected by room sensors - for example, when guests are sleeping! Sensors - it was claimed - can be disabled by front desk upon request - however, customers are only informed when they complain after the fact. Also - no rooms available when calling direct - price $105. Booked 5 minutes later through 3rd party online provider - price $169. Hotel did not appear to be full by number of parked vehicles or by number of people at breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast was below customary Hampton Inn standards observed across nation. Staff and management acknowledged issues, said they were frustrated, and said corporate (naming Hilton) will not listen to them and will not permit them to do simple, inexpensive things they did for years that kept customers happy. We stayed at this hotel several times before with satisfaction - as recently as a year ago. Apparently a change came from corporate in last year. We will not stay at this Hampton Inn again. If other Hampton stays on our upcoming trip are like this, we will switch our business elsewhere. We are Hilton Honors members and have never complained before. We only said something when we were asked at checkout if we were happy with the room. The manager was very nice, polite, and accommodating - refunded our room costs for the night, though we didn't request it or make any other demands - just voiced our concerns. I wanted to ask - but didn't - "Are other things, perhaps less visible to guests - like maintenance, quality inspections, or parking lot lighting - now being compromised to reduce costs?" Don't know - don't want to think so - but when good people want to do a good job for good customers and are frustrated when their feedback to decision makers above them is seemingly ignored, it makes one wonder.
