Southern Museum of Flight/Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame, 4343 73rd St. N., presents 8 decades of aviation history. The hall of fame honors aviators with ties to the state, including the Wright brothers, who flew from an airfield that became part of Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery. Military, commercial, experimental and Cold War-era aircraft are displayed. Other exhibit areas highlight the Tuskegee Airmen and women in aviation. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$7; $6 (students with ID and senior citizens); free (ages 0-3 and military with ID).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 9:30-4:30. Closed major holidays.
