Old Courthouse Museum is on the town square at 31 N. Alabama Ave. The courtroom of this 1903 courthouse was used as a model for the movie “To Kill a Mockingbird,” based on the book by Monroeville author Harper Lee. Exhibits focus on the courthouse, Harper Lee and Truman Capote's childhood in Monroeville. A 45-minute video about the book and the film may be seen.
