Dexter Avenue Parsonage Museum is at 309 S. Jackson St. Several ministers of Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church made this 1920s parsonage their home. The house was the residence of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his family 1954-60 while Dr. King led the Montgomery Bus Boycott. An interpretive center and the King-Johns Garden of Reflection are on the property.
