Troy University Rosa Parks Museum is at 252 Montgomery St., on the Troy University campus. This interactive museum honors Rosa Parks, whose 1955 arrest for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The protest precipitated the U.S. Supreme Court decision that banned bus segregation. Exhibits tell the story of the struggle for civil rights in the 1950s.
