AAA Editor Notes
Museum of East Alabama is downtown at 121 S. 9th St. The museum contains more than 10,000 pieces from the 19th- and 20th centuries. Exhibits focus on east Alabama, Opelika and state history as well as sound recording technology, agriculture and firefighting. Also on display are musical instruments, World War II POW camp artifacts and household items.
