Chugach State Park is e. on Glenn Hwy. Wildlife populations flourish within the park's 773 square miles of mountains, rivers, lakes and glaciers, providing many opportunities for viewing moose and beavers as well as the occasional bear or wolf. Major areas are Eklutna Lake, Eagle River, Anchorage Hillside and Turnagain Arm. A number of recreational activities are available. The park's headquarters is in the historic Potter Section House, at Milepost 115 of the Seward Highway.
Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
