Kantishna Experience Tour departs from local hotels. This bus tour takes visitors along the Gold Rush trails once traveled by pioneer Fannie Quigley to Kantishna. An interpretive park ranger explains in detail the region's geology, flora and fauna as well as the history of Kantishna on the 11- to 12-hour tours. The trip is 92 miles each way. Guests may bring binoculars for a better view of such wildlife as moose, caribou and bears.
Note: Guests are advised to dress in layers. The tour is not recommended for the physically impaired.
