Pros: Not much, beyond the location conveniently in the middle of town. Glad there were no bedbugs.
Cons: Terrible accommodations, barely clean sheets, absolutely nothing is complimentary, the ceilings and furniture were showing signs of age. I'd compare it to the cheapest unkept motel on a desolate highway, except that we paid 5 times the motel rates.

Pros: The staff - everyone of them - were absolutely wonderful and sweet.
Cons: After check-in, we realized that we had to haul all of our luggage, supplies, and anything else we wanted from the parking lot through the main lobby, and then down to whichever building we were assigned to. It was cumbersome, awkward due to lack of privacy, and particularly unexpected; i.e. there is no indication on their website that there is a significant physical distance between checking in and actually "moving in". We felt so troubled for the elderly patrons who were physically challenged to meet these requirements. The second day, the front parking lot was full and we received a call at 10.30 PM telling us to move our vehicle to the lower plateau. We had to park our vehicle down the cliff by the parking for the Denali Square. (We had initially no directions to the parking area and could not find it for two days.) It was horrible. It required a very long drive/walk down a very steep hill and then up the steep hill. I could not walk that far and the fact that we had to was beyond anything we've experienced with a hotel before.Directions for navigating to the lower "Denali Square" where the other restaurant, bookstore, saloon, etc. were placed were non-existent as was the parking "at the bottom" for entering the Denali Square. There were at least fifteen areas that required directions to specific advertised locations. We witnessed these senior couples who expressed confusion as to where they could eat, have coffee, listen to music, etc. Just a few signs would be a miracle. Particularly directions for down the cliff from the hotel lobby. The road to there is absolutely invisible. In all fairness, We LOVED the food at Karsten's restaurant - as well as the delightful ambience with a truly talented musician/ singer. As mentioned before, every staff member we interacted with was so helpful, sweet, and charming. We loved them!Additionally, the room was very clean, comfortable, and attractive.
