Pratt Museum is .5 blks. n. of Pioneer Ave. at 3779 Bartlett St. Highlights at the community museum include a botanical garden; a homestead cabin; a marine gallery; fishing boat models; sea birds and marine mammals; a forest trail; an exhibit detailing the impact of the Exxon Valdez oil spill; and native artifacts. Alaskan art from the Kenai Peninsula also is exhibited. Remote cameras provide visitors live images of seabirds and local wildlife. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$8; $6 (ages 66+); $4 (ages 6-18); $25 (family, two adults and children).
Hours: Daily 10-6, mid-May to mid-Sept.; Tues.-Sun. noon-5, Feb. 1 to mid-May and mid-Sept. through Dec. 31. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
