Pratt Museum is .5 blks. n. of Pioneer Ave. at 3779 Bartlett St. Highlights at the natural history museum include displays on homesteading, fishing and marine ecology; a salt-water aquaria; an exhibit detailing the impact of the Exxon Valdez oil spill; and native artifacts. Alaskan art from the Kenai Peninsula also is exhibited. Outdoor exhibits include the historic Harrington cabin, botanical garden and natural trail with art installations.
$10; $8 (ages 65+); $5 (ages 6-18); $25 (family, two adults and children).
Hours: Daily 10-6, mid-May to mid-Sept.; Tues.-Sat. noon-5, Feb. 1 to mid-May and mid-Sept. through Dec. 31. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour minimum.
