AAA Editor Notes
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Seward Hwy. Milepost 79, is a 200-acre, drive-through wildlife refuge. Musk oxen, red foxes, lynx, wood bison, Sitka black-tailed deer, caribous, eagles, moose, reindeer, elk and bears may be seen on the 1.5-mile loop. A self-guiding walking tour, Behind the Scene guided tour and moose encounter also are available.

Admission
$15; $12 (ages 65+ and active military with ID); $10 (ages 7-17). Behind the Scene tour $100; children 0-9 are not permitted. Moose encounter $10.
Hours
Daily 8-8, mid-May to mid-Sept.; daily 10-6, mid-Feb. to mid-May; daily 10-5, mid-Sept. through Nov. 30; daily 10-4 in Dec.; Sat.-Sun. 10-5, rest of year. Last admission is 1 hour before closing. Phone ahead to confirm schedule. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
