Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry, Milepost 47 on George Parks Hwy. (SR 3), displays various items relating to Alaska's transportation and industrial history. Twenty acres of outdoor exhibits include aircraft, boats, tractors, dog sleds, snowmobiles, farm implements, railroad cars, fire trucks, antique automobiles and memorabilia from early railroading days. Also featured are aviation photographs, vintage farm equipment and engines. Picnicking is permitted.
$8; $5 (ages 3-17 and 65+); free (active military with ID); $18 (family).
Hours: Daily 10-5 mid-May through Labor Day.
