Pros: Lovely old fashioned resort with cabins in the woods and a diner on site. The canyon is popular but our cabin was set back and not disturbed by the visitors

Pros: It is what it is: cabins away from the hustle and bustle. Great location right on Johnston Canyon. The parking lot fills up with hordes of tourists at 8:30 so it is nice to get an early start and have the 1.5 mile hike up to the Upper Falls to yourself. The beds were comfy, wood burning stove was nice. The location is close to Banff and Lake Louis so there are other attractions to travel to. Try to get a cabin 1-4 or 23 to get a beautiful view of Mt. Pilot.
Cons: No TV nor internet service. Although they do have VHS tapes for rent in the gift shop and VCR players in the cabins. Our cabin had a VCR/DVD player and luckily I had brought along some DVDs to play on my laptop just in case.
