Bellevue Underground Mine Tour is n. off Hwy. 3 Bellevue exit, following signs to the Bellevue Underground Mine access road at 2531-213 St. Participants don a miner's helmet with a lamp and a battery pack and follow guides along the same path taken by coal miners 1903-61 when the coal mine was operational. The 1-hour tour provides insights into the lives of coal miners and the work they did in the mine. Note: The temperature in the mine is around 1 C (35 F); dress in warm clothing and wear sturdy footwear, even in summer months. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
