Frank Slide Interpretive Centre is 1.5 km (.9 mi.) n. off Hwy. 3 at w. edge of Frank Slide. The center overlooks the site of the 1903 rockslide. Visitors experience the impact of Canada's deadliest rockslide through interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations. Walkways outside the center provide spectacular views of the surrounding Canadian Rockies. A 1.5-kilometre (.9-mi.) self-guiding trail over the slide allows visitors to view the debris. Interpretive programs are offered in summer. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
