Canada Olympic Park is at 88 Canada Olympic Rd. S.W. The park, the host area for ski jumping, freestyle skiing, bobsled and luge events at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, remains a site for year-round sports activities. In winter visitors can learn to ski and snowboard, and in warmer weather, a mountain bike park with more than 20 kilometres (12.4 mi.) of trails can be enjoyed. The Markin MacPhail Centre, home to several national sports organizations including Hockey Canada, has one international-sized rink and three North American-sized rinks.
Also on-site are the Ice House, a training facility where bobsleigh, skeleton and luge athletes practice; the Olympic bobsleigh track; the 90-metre (295-ft.) ski-jump tower; and the Performance Training Centre. Summer activities include bobsleigh rides, a zipline and a luge ride. A chairlift offers breathtaking scenic views.
Recreational activities are permitted. Food is available.
