AAA Editor Notes

Inglewood Bird Sanctuary is at 2425 9th Ave. S.E. on the Bow River. Self-guiding trails wind throughout the forest, where some 270 species of birds and 21 species of mammals have been sighted among the 347 species of plants. Natural history programs and guided nature walks also are offered. Note: Some of the sanctuary walking trails are still closed due to damage caused by the 2013 Alberta floods, and a new outdoor learning center is under construction; phone ahead for updates. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Donations.
Hours: Trails daily dawn-dusk. Nature center daily 10-4, May-Sept.; Tues.-Fri. 10-4, Sat. noon-4, rest of year. Tours are given Wed. at 2 and 7, Sat.-Sun. at 11 and 2, Tues. and Thurs. at 2, early June-early Sept. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Nov. 11, Christmas Eve, Christmas and day after Christmas.
