Ok for our needs.
Pros:
Cons: Breakfast was really bad! Quality of what was offered was awful. We ate out the second day. Could not spend much time in the room. This was a bare bones motel which was ok for sleeping.

Pros: Canmore is lovely and a little cheaper than Banff.
Cons: It's a Highway hotel so nothing fantastic. Staff were a little casual and had their cigarette breaks on the porch at the front of the hotel. All hotels in this area are expensive, but I didn't really see the value for money.

I think I would try...
Pros: The French Restaurant was very very good with excellent service. However, having it closed for dinner Mon, Tues and Wed was not very convenient.
Cons: We had a double queen room. There is not enough space between the beds and the wall for the person to get in and out of the bed easily. There is no space to get your legs in between the air conditioner and the bed to draw the window curtains. If you are a tall person that is fine but if you are a 5 Feet or under it is very inconvenient. The staff on the desk did not seem to know the correct restaurant hours. They told us it was closed but when we saw the open sign and phoned down, they were open. The door to the room would not close properly unless it was slammed shut. There must have been other rooms with the same problem because there sure was a lot of door slamming early in the morning. Also, there seemed to be some kind of restoration or construction going on, which we were not told about, and one morning we were awakened at 8am by the banging and clunking going on in what seemed to be the room next door to us.
