Cold Lake Museums is 5.1 km (3.12 mi.) s.w. on Hwy. 28 (8th Ave.)/Hwy. 55 (51st St.) at 63117 69th Ave. Four separate buildings connected by an enclosed passageway are situated on the site of a former radar facility. Showcased is the original 13-metre (42-ft.) radar height finder antenna, part of the Distant Early Warning Line during the Cold War.

The Aboriginal Gallery displays Dene Suline, Cree and Métis artifacts and crafts. Interactive exhibits focusing on the area's oil sands industry are featured in The Oil and Gas Interpretive Centre, while the Heritage Gallery highlights some of Cold Lake's other industries in addition to local history. Several aircraft and military vehicles are parked just outside the Cold Lake Air Force Museum, which relates the story of the Canadian Forces in the region.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
