Art Gallery of Alberta, 2 Sir Winston Churchill Sq., is dedicated to the development and presentation of contemporary and historical art from Canada and around the world. The gallery features three levels of exhibition space in a stunning four-level building—a work of art in and of itself—designed by Los Angeles architect Randall Stout. The AGA is the oldest cultural institution in the province and offers a full range of cultural programming, educational classes and art exhibitions. Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
$12.50; $8.50 (ages 65+ and out of province students with ID); free (ages 0-6, Alberta students and Tues.-Wed. 5-8 p.m.); $26.50 (family, two adults and four children).
Hours: Tues.-Fri. 11-5 (also Tues and Wed. 5-8 p.m.), Sat.-Sun. 10-5. Guided tours are offered Sat.-Sun. at 1, 2 and 3.
