Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum is at 10425 99th Ave. The archives and museum is in the historic 1904 McKay Avenue School, site of the first two sessions of the Alberta Legislature. The building has been carefully restored and features the 1906 legislative chamber, period classrooms and displays tracing the history of Edmonton Public Schools. Also on the grounds is the restored Edmonton 1881 Schoolhouse, the first free public school in Alberta.
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8:30-4, Sept.-June; 8:30-3:30, rest of year. Closed major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
