AAA Editor Notes
TELUS World of Science—Edmonton is at 142nd St. and 111th Ave. Five galleries house exhibits that explain and explore science and technology. The Body Fantastic includes large-scale 3-D models of body parts and the aptly named Gallery of the Gross. The Syncrude Environment Gallery features Science on a Sphere, a 1.8-metre (6-ft.) diameter globe staff scientists use to enhance presentations about the earth's environment. Discoveryland is a hands-on area designed for children ages 2 through 8.

The Science Garage is the center’s newest permanent gallery, encouraging visitors to get hands and minds busy with science and engineering. In the Maker Space, visitors use random materials to create, build and experiment, aided by staff scientists, and there are daily activities and challenges on weekends.

In addition you'll enjoy live science demonstrations, an outdoor observatory equipped with telescopes, an IMAX theater and planetarium shows presented in the Zeidler Dome Theatre planetarium.

Note: The Zeidler Dome Theatre planetarium is undergoing renovations until late 2018. An inflatable dome planetarium is set up for daily shows until construction is complete.
