Pros: Hotel is newly renovated. Rooms are clean and staff was friendly. Lobby was nice. The restaurant served good food for a fair price. The $5 voucher in lieu of house keeping is a good idea.
Cons: The bathroom was tight. The pool was old and was too cold. It was shut down during part of the stay. The hotel was a little isolated, but is within driving distance to amenities.

Friendly Staff, Hotel Needs Work
Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when several things in our room didn't work. Patrick, in particular was very personable and worked hard to make our stay a great one.
The room was very nice... spacious and light, although the bathroom is tiny. The shower supplied a wall mounted shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser that was very cool.
Cons: I booked the Jacuzzi suite as a birthday treat, but unfortunately, the fireplace didn't work (ignitor was old, immediately died again after maintenance left), the A/C didn't really work properly (room was icy cold when we got in, and never warmed up much although their maintenance person adjusted it), aaaaand the TV was definitely sub-par. It didn't work when we checked in because they had it on the wrong AV Input, and it took a couple hours to get it set up right, only to find they didn't have anything worth watching at all. I don't know if the package system wasn't set up correctly, or if they didn't have any movie packages, but it was very disappointing.
They also had a crowd of smokers directly in front of the lobby doors that you had to walk through, by the time we came back from dinner.
The room seemed old & dated, although nice enough.

Pros: The interior was nice and it was an easy location to find. It wasn't to far from downtown and it was easy access to the high way.
Cons: I did not like how when we checked in there was a huge line up and only one person behind the desk. Also, I booked a deluxe king suite and was told when I checked in there was over booking of the rooms and was given a queen room instead. I believe there should have been compensation as it was their error there was an over booking. There should have been some communication prior to us arriving.
