Pros: Location in Fort Edmonton is great!
Cons: The dinning experience left much to be desired. The staff were inexperienced and absent. They ran out of eggs for breakfast. The experience felt closer to novelty Disney Land hotel than to an actual hotel.

Pros: The location in Fort Edmonton is amazing! Staff were helpful. Dinner was amazing in the café.
Cons: The furnishings in the room were just ordinary hotel furnishings. It would have been great to have period pieces to go with the hotel era. As well the hotel restaurant could be improved to go with the wonderful food. Table clothes? The noise in the dining room was overwhelming.

Pros: It is like arriving in a sanctuary of sanity. Peaceful, exciting simultaneously. Adventure awaits in this themed park. Good diner; friendly staff. Closest thing to time travel. No TV; glorious.
Cons: very limited gluten-free options. Bartender needs more training in making great cocktails. Stick to beer.

Pros: Free park admission is included with a stay here, which was a huge savings as we spent all weekend here. The hotel is a replica of the original built in the 1920s and while the rooms don't have TVs, they do have hairdryers, clock radios and coffee makers and private bath/shower for modern conveniences. Their Johnson's Cafe restaurant is reasonably priced and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, the staff are friendly and helpful, and what few issues we had were resolved instantly. They even had our room available several hours before their standard check in time and it didn't cost anything extra. I would absolutely stay here again next year as Fort Edmonton Park sadly is just open from May-September with few exceptions.
Cons: It was confusing to find where to park, but guests of the hotel do have private parking so even that is a positive.
