Very Good
Traveling as Couple
Pros: Gorgeous setting. Great staff.
Cons: Expensive room, even with the deal we got, given its age. Rustic one could say. That we liked, but many others might not.

Traveling as Couple
Pros: The staff are fantastic - they do their best to ensure a pleasant experience.
Cons: Parking around the cabins is very limited - chances are very good that you will have to park in the main visitor parking lot.
Family with Young Children
Pros: The rooms are fantastic and the service was very good.
Cons: The food service is very overpriced for the quality of food received. I do not mind paying high prices for good food but to pay high prices for mediocre food, not so much. Plan on eating in Jasper if attending the Lodge.

Traveling as Couple
Pros: Situated in a beautiful area by a lake.
Cons: Our room was old, small and strange. There were at least 5 things wrong with it. Rocking tables, loose handles on furniture. Broken switch on ceiling fan. No A/C.

Overall, the Jasper Park Lodge...
Pros: Loved the location, the spa and the cute cabins
Cons: Poor service at the restaurant in the main lodge. My husband and I ate at the lounge twice; each time waiting 5-10 minutes just to be acknowledged, and then for menus (despite the fact that there were three+ servers standing at the bar). When we we served, service continued to be subpar, during one meal the server didn’t even clear our menus and she placed our food on the small table and pushed the menus to the side, we eventually handed them to her and asked her to take them. Arranging pet care was difficult, it took two trips to concierge and one phone call to remind them we had an appointment for 0930 because no one had gotten back to us (at 0900-0915) as assured by concierge. The thermostat in our room was broken and the temperature would reach 76 degrees each day. We opened windows and then the temperature would drop down to 62 degrees at night. Our back door would not latch properly and had to be dead bolted to keep closed. Did not get the typical Fairmont experience at JPL but paid the regular Fairmont price. Don’t understand how that is justified at this location. :(
