Stephansson House Provincial Historic Site is 7 km (4 mi.) n. at 2230 Township Rd. 371. The site includes the home of Stephan G. Stephansson, a prominent Icelandic poet and Canadian pioneer. The historic home has been restored to its 1927 appearance and contains many original furnishings. Costumed guides give 15- to 30-minute tours and demonstrations of 1920s homemaking chores such as spinning wool and baking in a wood-burning oven. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
