Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park/Áísínai'pi National Historic Site is 35 km (21.9 mi.) e. on Hwy. 501, then 8.6 km (5.3 mi.) s. on Hwy. 500, following signs. Situated along the Milk River, the archeological preserve showcases the largest collection of rock art on the North American Great Plains. Massive sandstone outcrops display pictographs and petroglyphs created by Blackfoot and other First Nations peoples. Guided tours and interpretive programs are presented spring through fall.

Note: Summer temperatures in excess of 40 C (104 F) are often recorded along the trail.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
