Medicine River Wildlife Centre is 4 km (2.5 mi.) s. of Hwy. 54, then 2 km (1.2 mi.) e. The organization provides rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. It also serves as an environmental education center, offering a video presentation and displays about wildlife. A trail leads to an observation tower that affords excellent bird-watching around a 30-hectare (75-acre) marsh.
Note: The center is closed for renovations; reopening is scheduled for sometime in 2016. Phone ahead for updates.
