Wainwright & District Museum is at 1001 1st Ave. Displays include items and memorabilia relating to family life in the town since its founding in 1908. The histories of a local prisoner of war camp and the now defunct Buffalo National Park also are presented. The museum is housed in an original Canadian National Railway station built in 1929.
