The Whitecourt and District Forest Interpretive Centre is 1 km (.6 mi.) e. on Hwy. 43. The center includes multimedia exhibits detailing the role of the forest in the evolution of Whitecourt. Visitors can view a storyboard describing the manufacturing process of wood products, a tepee, and a variety of wood artifacts and tools. Next to the building, Heritage Park re-creates an early 20th-century logging town through a collection of restored buildings and vehicles. Tools and other artifacts from this period also are on display.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
