Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, 5 Copper Queen Plaza, jct. Main St. and Brewery Gulch, is in the building that served as the headquarters of the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Co. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the museum examines local history and culture beginning in 1877. The exhibit Digging In tells the story of copper. The archival library contains photographs, manuscripts, documents and research books about state history and the copper mining era.
