Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Park, 1324 Jesse Hayes Rd., is a 300-room pueblo inhabited 1225-1400 by Salado Indians. Several rooms are restored and furnished in period. Artifacts from the ruins are displayed in the museum, and an ethnobotanical garden illustrating how native plants were used by the Salado is featured. A video presentation also is available.
$5; $4 (ages 65+); free (ages 0-12 with adult).
Hours: Daily 9-4:30, Oct.-June; Wed.-Sun. 9-4:30, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
