Jerome State Historic Park is off SR 89A. The park museum in the 1916 adobe brick Douglas Mansion traces the history of local mining and the family of James S. Douglas, developer of the rich United Verde Extension Mine in the early 1900s. A movie highlighting the history of Jerome is shown continuously. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

Hours: Park daily 8:30-5. Museum daily 8:30-4:45. Closed Christmas.
