Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park, 1 mi. e. on SR 98, comprises two slot canyons with graceful, swirling red sandstone walls carved by wind and rain over thousands of years. Visitors are driven 3.5 miles to the canyons and must tour the canyons with a licensed guide. Access to Lower Antelope Canyon requires a climb down ladders bolted to the canyon walls. On the Upper Antelope Canyon tour visitors walk right into the canyon.
