Patagonia Lake State Park, 7 mi. s.w. on SR 82, then 4 mi. w. following signs, is home to southeastern Arizona's largest lake. Bird-watching is a popular activity. Pontoon boat tours are available early October through April. Adjacent to the park is Sonoita Creek State Natural Area, which offers nature hikes and educational programs. Gas, boating, fishing and swimming are available. Jet boats and jet skis are prohibited. Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
$15-$20 (per private vehicle, up to four passengers); $3 (per additional adult passenger in vehicle or person arriving on foot or bicycle). Camping $17-$30 (per private vehicle).
Hours: Daily 4 a.m.-10 p.m. Visitor center Thurs.-Mon. 8:30-4; hours may vary seasonally. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
