Pros: The rooms were clean. Loved the train sound during the night (earplugs included for those who don't). The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. So happy for the laundry room and ability to make change at front desk!
Cons: One particular staff person seemed annoyed to help me when other front desk staff members were helping other guests (but she stopped her personal conversation and helped me).

Pros: I was impressed with the Hualapai people that are running the lodge, river rafting and restaurant. It seems to be a tribal operation and I think it is being very well done. With old Rt 66 coming back, they should do well.
Cons: The lodge is right by the train tracks and freight trains go by often. This was not a problem for me,I like trains. For others,it might be a problem. They do offer ear plugs at the front desk.

Pros: Considering that we were coming out this way to tour the Canyon Caverns & did not want to stay at the Caverns Inn, the Haulapai Lodge was more modern & new.We liked the hotel features, everything was near & easy to get to.
Cons: We slept in a little more after spending all day at Grand Canyon & arrived to the Lodge a little later in the evening. So we ventured down for breakfast around 9:30am Some of the breakfast items off the complimentary buffet were not restocked. (oatmeal)
