Titan Missile Museum, .75 mi. w. of I-19 exit 69 at 1580 Duval Mine Rd., is a formerly active Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) complex preserved as a museum. Of the 54 Titan II ICBM sites in the U.S. weapon system, all except the missile museum have been destroyed. Special tours are offered, including Beyond the Blast Doors, Titan Top to Bottom, Moonlight MADness (a summer Saturday evening celebration), Crew Tour, Director's Tour and Titan Overnight Experience. Note: The basic tour includes descending/ascending 55 steps and may be cumbersome for the physically impaired or those with a heart condition. Arrangements may be made for the use of an elevator for the physically impaired. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$9.50; $8.50 (ages 62+ and active military with ID); $6 (ages 5-12).
Hours: Sun.-Fri. 9:45-4, Sat. 8:45-5. Tours are given on the hour. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
