Red Rock State Park, 3 mi. s. off SR 89A on Lower Red Rock Loop Rd., features 286 acres of a riparian ecosystem. Oak Creek runs through the park creating a diverse riparian habitat that abounds with plants and wildlife. Displays in the visitor center highlight the ecology and conservation of Oak Creek. Nature hikes, bird walks, theater presentations and other planned activities are offered; phone for schedule.
$7 (per private vehicle, up to four adult passengers); $4 (ages 7-13).
Hours: Park open daily 8-5. Visitor center open daily 9-4:30.
