Lyman Lake State Park is 11 mi. s. of St. Johns on US180/191, then just off SR 81, following signs. This 1,200-acre park is a great place for camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, water skiing and wildlife viewing. A marked trail leads to the ruins of Rattlesnake Point Pueblo, a village constructed and occupied by ancestors of the Hopi tribe during the 1300s. . Note: The trail to Rattlesnake Point was closed at press time; phone ahead. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
$7 (per private vehicle, up to four adult passengers); $3 (per additional adult passenger in vehicle or individual arriving on foot or bicycle). Cabins $65. Camping $20-$33 (per private vehicle). Cabins and group campsites are available by reservation.
Hours: Daily 8-5, mid-May to mid-Sept.
