Arizona Historical Society/Arizona History Museum, 949 E. 2nd St., is in a building designed by Josias Joesler and features exhibits portraying the daily life of 1870s Tucson families; the life of Apache warrior Geronimo; and various modes of 19th- and early 20th-century transportation.

Museum highlights include a walk-through, full-size replica of a 100-year-old underground copper mine, a real stagecoach and a wide variety of artifacts from the Southwest's territorial period. A research library is available.
