Lower White River Museum State Park is at the w. end of Main St. Arkansas rivers and associated lifestyles are the focus of this museum, with displays depicting life and the river-based economy, mainly from 1831 to 1931. Various mussels, which were used for trade as well as to make buttons and jewelry and for food, are exhibited. A research library also is available.

Hours: Tues.-Sat. and Mon. holidays 8-5, Sun. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
