Dallas County Historical Museum is at 221 N. Main St. The museum traces the history of the county. Exhibits include tools and housewares from the early 1900s and photographs of legendary football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, who attended high school in Fordyce. The museum's Bill Mays Annex, 200 N. Main St., houses the Dallas County Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, which displays memorabilia from Fordyce residents. .
Hours: Museum open Tues.-Fri. 10-4, Sat. 10-2. Annex open upon request during museum hours. Closed major holidays. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
